Lester Redford Bobo, Jr.

Lester Redford Bobo, Jr was born March 28, 1938 & met his Savior on August 21, 2024 at the age of 86 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Boyd, Texas to Lester & Oma Bobo, “Junior" was the middle child of seven. He had a deep rooted love & loyalty to family, friendships & Jesus.

 In 1960, he met his bride, Wanda Ruth Souder. They were married almost 63 years. After serving in the Army, Lester was a mail carrier for the City of Hurst for 38 years. Lester & Wanda adopted a little boy in 1966, Brett Alan, & a little girl in 1969, who they named Brenda Gay. Life with Lester was filled with sports, gardens, & church. Every summer growing up meant a vacation, & that tradition continued after the kids were grown & carried on with the four grandchildren, who he adored. He loved laughter, spinning a tale, good game of 42 & ice cream.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester & Oma Bobo & his siblings John, Delbert & Jesse.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Souder Bobo, his son, Brett Alan Bobo, his daughter, Brenda Bobo Sanders & husband Rick, his grandchildren Shandie & Carly Fontenot & Sydney & Cooper Bradshaw & his first great grandchild, Eleanor Ruth, many nieces & nephews & so many cherished friends.
