Lee Kelsoe

August 23, 1961 — April 27, 2025

Euless

Lee Austin Kelsoe went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2025, at the age of 63. He was born on August 23, 1961, in Dallas and was a life-long Texan, growing up in various cities around the metroplex until setting in Euless.

Lee was a devoted husband, father, and friend, a man full of life and perpetual energy. He was a dreamer; he had the imagination and drive to make anything happen. He was fun with a great sense of humor. He never had a dark day and was always able to see the positive in everything. He never let anything get him down. Even from the diagnosis of stage 4 cancer to the end of his life, he never complained or felt sorry for himself; he was only concerned about the toll it was taking on his family.

Lee was incredibly hard-working, even in his teen years. He attended barber college and then joined the Navy at 19. After leaving the Navy, Lee worked as a barber which led to a 23-year career at an old school barber shop off Main Street in Euless. His outgoing personality charmed many clients, he loved telling jokes and many people came to him because he could do a perfect flat top. He made many friends, and his clients kept coming back year after year. It was through these relationships that Lee’s next business venture came about, a credit repair and mortgage company. Then in 2006 he started his own roofing company which led to a business as a contractor. Lee had an entrepreneurial spirit and was a natural business owner learning different trades, growing his contracting business.

Lee met the love of his life, Amanda, at a cookout at his house in 2000, and from that point on, the two were inseparable. They were married on July 19, 2002 and went on to have 3 children. Lee was committed to his family, and his work ethic enabled him to provide for his family no matter what he did. This allowed Amanda to fulfill her dream to be a stay-at-home mom, raising their children.

Lee had a knack for finding a great deal and he was always wheeling and dealing. He loved flipping anything and he was very good at finding any way to make money.

He also loved planning trips for his family, and they got to enjoy many great vacations together. He loved the outdoors and was always up for an adventure. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and riding motorcycles.

Lee is survived by his wife of 22 years, Amanda; his children, Austin, Chloe, and Travis Kelsoe of Euless; siblings Tony, Matt, Deborah and Tammy; and mother Sandra Grant and stepdad James Grant. Lee is preceded in death by his father, Ben Kelsoe.
