Lauren Grace Reaves "Scooter"
October 27, 2003 - June 29, 2025
21 Years Young
On June 29, 2025, our beloved Lauren Grace Reaves left this world far too soon, following a tragic car accident. At just 21 years old, she entered the peace and presence of her Lord.
Lauren was a determined spirit from the very beginning. Long before she could walk, she was racing after her older siblings, Cole and Morgan, perfecting the art of high-speed scooting-earning her the affectionate nickname "Scooter," which stayed with her throughout her life.
She grew up on 20 beautiful acres in Decatur, Texas, surrounded by family, faith, animals, and adventure. Her childhood was filled with horseback riding with her mom Terri, mutton busting, cheering, running, and competing in sports and fishing with her dad Rollie. She embraced life outdoors while also loving all things pink and "girly-girly."
Lauren developed a strong Christian foundation attending Victory Christian Academy in Decatur and graduated from Paradise High School in 2022. With a passion for helping others feel beautiful, she pursued her dream at Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy, where she mastered modern cutting and coloring techniques with grace and skill.
Her heart was also full of love for animals-especially her cherished dogs Oakley, River, and Ginger.
A Shakespearean quote that hung on her wall growing up, "Though she be but little, she is fierce," captured Lauren's bold and loving spirit. She poured more love into her 21 years than many do in a lifetime-love for God, for life, for family, and for everyone lucky enough to know her.
Lauren is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alan and C.J. Witten. She is survived by her devoted parents, Rollie Reaves; Terri Reaves and stepfather David Gordon; her siblings, Cole Reaves and Morgan Reaves-Wallace; brother-in-law, Tanner Wallace; paternal grandparents, Rollie and LeAnne Reaves and countless extended family and dear friends.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Lauren's wonderful life, July 26th at 11:30 AM at Grace Fellowship Church, 2964 TX-114, Paradise, Texas 76073
As pink was Lauren's favorite color, guests are encouraged to wear shades of pink in her honor.
