Larry Eugene Lyons — Celebrating a Life Well Lived
Larry Eugene Lyons, 76, of Haslet, Texas, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 21, 2026. He was born on August 21, 1949, in Eureka, Kansas, to Nelson and Lois Lyons, where his roots were planted and his strong work ethic took shape early on.
After briefly attending college, Larry began what became a lifelong journey in the tool business. That path took him all across the country, introduced him to some of his greatest friends, and gave him a lifetime of stories he was always happy to share, especially if there was good company nearby. Known for his tenacity, ambition, and ability to connect with just about anyone, Larry was recognized early and often, rising into multiple leadership roles throughout his career.
Larry met the love of his life, Pam, in Texas, and it didn’t take long for everyone around them to know this was the real deal. They married in 1996 and built a life filled with faith, laughter, and family. Between them, they had six wonderful children and were blessed with many grandchildren and a great-grandchild, all of whom adored him and knew without question how deeply he loved them.
Larry’s second home was always the lake, where his “extended family” lived and weekends were best spent. The boathouse was his unofficial headquarters, usually with a game on, a conversation going, and room for anyone who wanted to pull up a chair. Larry was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Mavericks fan, a loyalty he held proudly and unapologetically, regardless of what anyone else thought. Whether his teams were winning big or testing his patience, he watched faithfully, enjoyed the moment, and never missed the chance to give or take a little friendly grief, all in good fun.
Larry was a man of deep and abiding faith, one that guided his life and shaped the way he loved, worked, and served others. Shortly after marrying Pam, Larry dedicated his life fully to Christ, a decision that became the foundation of who he was and how he lived. He leaned heavily on the Prayer of Jabez, often drawing strength and purpose from its message—asking for God’s blessing, expanded territory, and guidance in all things. His faith was steady, personal, and evident in his character: he valued hard work, loyalty, generosity, and time spent with the people he loved. Larry’s quiet trust in God and his genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Lois Lyons. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Pam, a sister Shelley and her husband Ken; six children and their spouses; Will, Heath, Launa, Traci, Benjamin and Paul, many loving grandchildren, a great-grandchild, countless family members and friends whose lives are better for having known him.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main St., Keller, Texas 76248. All who loved Larry are welcome to attend and celebrate a life well lived.
Larry would want everyone to know that if there’s a lake nearby in Heaven, he’s already found the best cove.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
