Kevin John Cannon

July 17, 1954 — March 25, 2026

Kevin John Cannon, 71 of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on March 25,2026, of natural causes. He was a man of quiet strength, sharp intellect, and a man who lived life on his own terms; he left a quiet but lasting mark on everyone that knew him.

Kevin was born on July 17, 1954, in Buffalo, NY. He grew up with an astute mind and a natural curiosity about how things worked, traits that would define the course of his life. He later moved to Florida, where he became a founder of Cannon Brothers Construction, helping to build something lasting through hard work and determination.

He eventually made his home in Texas, where he pursued a calling in civil engineering. With dedication and perseverance, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and went on to achieve his Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) credential. These accomplishments laid the groundwork for a distinguished career in civil engineering working for the city of Dallas.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Kathy Cannon; his daughters Kelly Myers (Justin Myers), Kristen Nash (Jason Nash) and son Kevin Cannon; his grandchildren, Delainey and Nolan Myers & Bennett Nash. Siblings, Rick (Sheila) Cannon, Tim (Melissa) Cannon, Kate Cannon (Jim Lane) and Maureen Cannon Chiofalo (Toni Chiofalo). Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Marion Cannon of Buffalo and brother Greg Cannon.

Kevin was a man who didn’t need to say much to be deeply understood. He was reserved and thoughtful. He showed his love not always in words but in the way he provided, in his consistency, and in simply being there.

He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, strong work ethic, and quiet steady way he lived his life. We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and no longer in pain, reunited with those who have gone before him, and that we will see him again.
