Kenneth "Ford" Young passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on July 21, 1949. Ford graduated from Forest Hills High School in West Palm Beach and attended University of Florida for 2 years before being drafted into the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He served 10 years in the Air Force before going to work as a flight simulator engineer at American Airlines where he retired from after 35 years.
Ford will be remembered for his steady presence and kind heart. Whether offering guidance, sharing a story, or simply being there when it mattered most, he made others feel seen and supported. His life was a reflection of resilience and dedication. He carried himself with humility and grace.
He found joy in the everyday moments—time spent with loved ones, laughter shared, and memories created that will be cherished forever. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the love he gave so freely.
Ford is leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, integrity, and deep devotion to those he loved. He was a man who valued hard work, honesty, and the simple joys of life, touching the lives of family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vivian Young; Daughters: Lisa Price and Heather Lore; Son: Jason Young; Grand-children: Samantha Dowell, Bethany Dowell, Ethan Otto, Hunter Price, Grace Young and Briley Young and Great Nephew Aaron White.
Though he is no longer with us, his spirit remains a lasting source of comfort and inspiration. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on April 9th, 2026 between 2-4pm at Saviano's Italian Kitchen, 300 N Main St, Euless, TX 76039.
He will be laid to rest at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Cody Mihills whose determination and caring allowed us to bring Ford home as he wished. Thank you to the Angel Hands Hospice team for their amazing care.
