With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Matthew Baker, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, who left us on September 22, 2026. Born on August 13, 1987, in Fairfax, Virginia. Ken was a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of those who knew him. He was the cherished son of Donald and Esther Baker and a devoted brother to Stephanie Tucker. His nephew, Matthew Baker, was a source of immense pride and joy.

Ken's journey through life was marked by a passion for sports and a dedication to community. He graduated from McNeil High School in Round Rock, Texas, in 2005, and went on to further his education at the University of Texas Arlington. At the time of his passing, Ken was pursuing a degree in sports marketing at Grand Canyon University, a testament to his enduring love for athletics.

For 15 years, Ken worked in the food service industry, where his gregarious nature and quick wit endeared him to colleagues and patrons alike. He found immense joy in coaching young athletes, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the games he held dear. An avid sports participant and enthusiast, Ken's heart belonged to the Atlanta Braves, the University of Texas Longhorns, and the Dallas Cowboys. He also had a passion for cooking, often delighting his family and friends with his culinary creations. Ken recently rededicated his life to the Lord, highlighted by his baptism in March 2025.

Ken was a man of kindness and humor, with a generous spirit that left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His grandfather Guadalupe Moreno, grandparents William and Barbara Baker, and other family members predeceased him, Ken's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive him, especially his family and countless friends.

A service to honor Ken's remarkable life will be held on October 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home, located at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, TX. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many with his kindness and laughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ken's memory to The Doorways, an organization close to his heart. Based in Richmond, VA, this organization provides comfort and support to those in need.

Ken's radiant spirit and warm heart will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
