Kelley Ann (Webb) Baringer, a resident of Burleson, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Kelley was born on September 19, 1961, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Garland Braz Webb Jr. and Clara Frances Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, James Elmer Roy of Lawton, Oklahoma, who remained a deeply important part of her life throughout the years; and her son-in-law, U.S. Army SPC Cole James Chaney.
Kelley’s journey began in Oklahoma and carried her across many places throughout the country while supporting her husband Steve’s career in military and government service throughout their 40 years of marriage. Along the way, she built a life centered around faith, family, perseverance, and caring deeply for others. She ultimately found her purpose in Burleson, Texas, where she dedicated herself to serving America’s warfighters through her civilian government work in Fort Worth. Kelley took great pride in supporting those who served their country and carried that same dedication and loyalty into every area of her life.
Kelley loved Jesus deeply and was a strong, faith-filled woman whose relationship with the Lord shaped much of her life. Some of the most cherished memories shared by her family were the years spent helping Kelley with Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School during the summers, and a special Wednesday night children’s group she created called “Busy Bees.”
Through Busy Bees, Kelley poured her heart into teaching children about Jesus during church choir practices. The children learned through felt-board Bible stories, crafts, songs, skits, gardening projects to help care for the church grounds, and joyful time spent together growing in faith. Kelley believed childhood should be filled with love, laughter, purpose, and the wisdom of the Lord Jesus.
Many still remember the little Busy Bees song she taught the children: “Busy as a bee, busy as a bee, we will work for Jesus busy as a bee.”
Kelley was also a devoted homeschool mother who poured herself into raising and launching her children into adulthood with faith, determination, and education at the center of their lives. She believed deeply in learning, perseverance, and creating opportunities for her family. While homeschooling her children, Kelley returned to school alongside her son Skylar, and she proudly earned her degree from Thomas Edison State College, setting an example of commitment and lifelong learning for those around her.
Her influence continued into another generation through her daughter Krystal and grandchildren Kayla, Ethan, and KayCee Jack. Inspired by Kelley’s example, the family continued the Christian homeschooling journey she helped begin years ago. Kayla graduated from homeschool in 2020 and now proudly serves as a United States Marine alongside her husband Sean. KayCee Jack is set to graduate from homeschool high school in Utah in just two weeks. Both KayCee Jack and Ethan have already earned college credits and are enrolled to begin technical college programs in IT and Machining this August.
Kelley also faced many serious health challenges throughout her life with determination and quiet strength. Over the years, she battled cancers and other significant illnesses, enduring hardships that at times felt nearly impossible. Yet through it all, she continued pushing forward with resilience, faith, and deep love for her family.
In the midst of those struggles, Kelley committed herself to reclaiming her health and worked incredibly hard to create a healthier lifestyle for herself and those around her. Through discipline, perseverance, diet, and exercise, she lost more than 150 pounds and maintained that accomplishment for years.
Her journey became an inspiration to many because it reflected her persistence, courage, and refusal to give up even during the hardest seasons of life. Her family truly believes the effort she invested into her health and healing gave them more precious years and memories together here on earth.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen David Baringer of Cleburne, Texas; daughter Krystal Michelle LaMar and husband Michael LaMar of Washington, Utah; son Skylar David Baringer of Burleson, Texas; stepdaughter Stephany Michelle Sidwell and husband Blake Sidwell of Indiana; grandchildren KayCee Jack Chaney of Utah, Ethan LaMar of Utah, Kayla LeClaire and husband Sean LeClaire, stationed with the United States Marine Corps in South Carolina, and their son Myron LeClaire of South Carolina; as well as grandchildren Brandon Stewart and his family, Levi Stewart, and Pyper Stewart of Indiana.
Kelley is also lovingly remembered by her dear Aunt Linda Staples; cousins Bret, Bart, and Brad Deardorff and their families; cousin Debbie Head along with her husband Jim Head and daughters Kelley Ann and Tiffany and their families of Alabama; as well as cousin Larry Williams and his wife Joannae and their families of Alabama; and her very special longtime friend Sandy Kozol of Iowa.
A virtual memorial service celebrating Kelley’s life will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. CST. Family and friends across the country are invited to attend live online. Virtual service details and attendance information will be coordinated through Lucas Funeral Home of Burleson, Texas.
