December 30, 1955 – February 15, 2026 Wendell Keith Clements, known affectionately as Keith to his friends and family, and "Papaw" to his beloved grandchildren, passed away on February 15, 2026, in Godley, Texas, at the age of 70.
Born on December 30, 1955, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Wendel and Luerene Clements, Keith spent the majority of his life in Amarillo and Canyon, Texas. He married the love of his life, Carla, on March 5, 1982, and together they built a wonderful life. In 2020, they began a new chapter in Godley, Texas, to be closer to their kids and grandkids. Keith was a dedicated, hard working man, spending his entire professional career as a industrial mechanic and electronic technician at the Pantex Plant in the Amarillo area. Keith was a devoted Christian whose faith was the absolute cornerstone of his life. He served as a deacon in his church and intentionally led his family in their spiritual growth, ensuring that his children were grounded in the Word and actively involved in the church.
Above all, Keith was a true family man. Taking care of his loved ones and providing for them was his top priority, second only to his relationship with God. He always made himself available to his family, never allowing work or hobbies to overshadow his time with them. He and his wife, Carla, shared a passion for travel that led to the tradition of annual family vacations, creating lasting family memories. A man of many talents, Keith proudly passed down his passion for fishing, camping, and skiing, as well as his handyman skills, to his two sons, Nathan and Bryan. In recent years, his greatest joy was being "Papaw" to his grandchildren, whom he loved and cherished.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Wendel and Luerene Clements; his infant grandson, Turner Keith Clements; and his brother-in-law, Mo Morgan.
Keith is survived by his loving wife and best friend of nearly 44 years, Carla Clements; his two sons, Nathan (wife Kendra) Clements and Bryan (wife Ashlan) Clements; his five treasured grandchildren, Elouise, Mason, Caleb, Landry, and Reese; and his sisters, Diane Morgan, Denise Korsmo (husband Rick), and Angela Woolard (husband Dwayne).
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Watermark Fort Worth, located at 8000 Western Hills Blvd, Fort Worth, Texas. A visitation will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the children’s ministries at either Watermark Fort Worth or Christ Chapel Bible Church in Burleson, Texas.
