Kathy Sain Waltenbaugh

Kathy Sain Waltenbaugh, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and strength touched the lives of many.

Kathy was born in Cleburne, Texas, to Samuel Cooper Sain and Mary Magdeline Smith Sain. She was one of ten children.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Solida and Tiffany Winfrey; her sister, Joyce Dunlap; and her beloved grandchildren, Caitlin, Melanie, Leila, and Liam.

She was preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Kathy had a true passion for sewing and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity, patience, and love for others. Her hands were rarely still, always busy stitching, mending, and crafting with care. Each piece she made was a reflection of the love she carried for her family, something they will treasure for years to come. She also had a special fondness for the color purple, a reflection of her vibrant and warm spirit.

More than anything, Kathy loved her family. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her creativity, and the comfort she brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created and the love she gave so freely.
