Kathryn Mathews Palmatary

Kathryn "Kathi" Mathews Palmatary went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of August 8, 2026.

Kathi is survived by her beloved husband and soulmate of 42 years, Tyler ("Ty") Palmatary, whom she met while attending the University of Delaware; her daughters, Sage Palmatary and Kyla Palmatary; her granddaughter, Avery Mahone; her brother, Frank Mathews and his three children, Cody, Bailey and Maxie; and her father-in-law, Harold Palmatary.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Mathews; her father, Frank Mathews; her mother-in- law, Nancy Palmatary; and her son, Keegan Palmatary.

Kathi was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose kindness and support touched the lives of many family members and friends. She cherished her extended family, including brother-in-law, Stacy Palmatary and his wife Cassi, and their three sons, Greg, Jason, and Scott Palmatary; other brother-in-law, Brad Palmatary and his wife, Dottie, and their children, Amanda, Scott, and Jennifer; as well as her many family members on the Mathews side.

A longtime member of The Met Church, Kathi faithfully served her church community as a greeter, usher, and volunteer with the children's and youth ministries. She was also dedicated to serving others through her volunteer work with the Cindy Ramsey Center (CRC).

After moving to Texas, Kathi built a successful career spanning more than 20 years before retiring in June 2024. Through her talent, hard work, warm smile, and positive attitude, she advanced to the position of Vice President within Citibank's Card Merchandise Group. She earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout her career.

Kathi will be remembered for her genuine kindness, unwavering faith, and love for her family. She had a passion for dogs and cared for many who became family throughout her lifetime. She also found great joy in spending time in her backyard by the pool, gardening, and enjoying the Texas sunshine.

A Celebration of Life honoring Kathi will be held at The Met Church on Monday, August 31, 2026, located at 11301 North Riverside Drive, Fort Worth, Texas. Guests are welcome to begin arriving at 11:00AM, and the service will start at 11:30AM. Dress code will be Summer casual. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cindy Ramsey Center (CRC), 11301 North Riverside Drive, Fort Worth, Texas.
