Katherine Shultz Cradit, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away July 31, 2024, in North Richland Hills, Texas. She was born on December 7, 1921, in Soper, Oklahoma, to Oscar and Janie Stinson Shultz.
Katherine's life was marked by love and dedication to her family and faith. She graduated from Carter Riverside High School in Ft. Worth and went on to support her husband Glenn at their business, Screencraft Advertising. Katherine's talents extended beyond the workplace; she was an exceptional seamstress who lovingly created beautiful dresses for her daughter Kathy. Her creative touch brought joy to those around her. One time she bought Kathy a dress as a teenager because she thought she would like a store bought dress. To her surprise, Kathy didn't want the dress at all because it wasn't really as nice as what her mom could make.
A woman of deep faith, Katherine accepted the Lord at a young age and shared her spiritual wisdom by teaching 2nd grade Sunday School for many years at Haltom Road Baptist Church. One of her proudest accomplishments was instilling Godly values in her children and students while spreading the teachings of Jesus. She lived with Kathy and Mickey 9 years to the day and loved Mickey as her son. Even though her family is rejoicing that she is seeing Jesus face to face, she will be greatly missed by those she has left.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, Sr. and her son, Glenn, Jr. In her leisure time, Katherine found joy in spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Hudnall and husband Mickey; granddaughters, Glenda Green and husband Mark, Meredith Goldthwaite and husband George; grandsons, Jason Hudnall, Brad McGee and wife Leslie. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren with a third on the way in December; also survived by nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren were her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church Arlington. Even though she could not attend church recently, she made sure to listen to Dr. David Jeremiah every Sunday.
Katherine leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and creativity. Her kindness, dedication to family, and unwavering love for God will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In the embrace of heaven now rests a remarkable woman whose memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable life.
