In Loving Memory of Karyn Donette Poslick

Karyn Donette Poslick passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 16, surrounded by her loving spouse and daughters. Born on October 1, 1964, in Houston, Texas, Karyn lived a life marked by grace, devotion, and unwavering love—for her family, her faith, and all who crossed her path. Her radiant spirit, quiet strength, and boundless kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Karyn was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Abradon Hanes; her beloved grandparents; and other cherished loved ones who went before her. Their memory remained a constant source of comfort and inspiration throughout her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Craig Martin Poslick; her daughters, Karyn Michele King (Ray Stone King III), Christi Leighann McFarland (Christopher Scott McFarland), and Samantha Kay Poslick (Matthew Clark Simmons); and her treasured grandchildren: Bea Stone King, Molly Mariah King, Zoey Michele King, Christian Scott McFarland, and Keller Ray McFarland. She also leaves behind her siblings, Todd Lee Luckett and Jonathan Allen Hanes; her mother, Patsy Kay Goode Luckett; and her stepfather, Harold Lee Luckett. Karyn’s greatest joy was her family, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them.

A woman of deep faith, Karyn dedicated her life to following Jesus Christ and serving others. For more than 20 years, she worked alongside her husband at the family business, Metro Parts Inc., where her warmth and integrity were felt by all. She also found profound purpose in her decade of service with BSF International, where she studied scripture and taught in the children’s ministry with passion and care.

Karyn will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and unwavering empathy—for the way she tenderly cared for her parents, uplifted her family, and embraced every soul with love. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, at 2:00pm CT at Northwood Church in Keller, Texas. A short reception with light refreshments will follow outside the church sanctuary. In keeping with Karyn’s heartfelt wish for her funeral to reflect joy, the family will be honoring her by wearing cheerful, colorful clothing—and guests are warmly encouraged to do the same as we celebrate her vibrant spirit and beautiful life.

All who knew and loved Karyn are warmly invited to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.

In lieu of flowers, gifts, or food, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, honoring Karyn’s lifelong love for animals.
