Karen Elaine Howell

Karen Elaine Howell passed away on Friday, July 16, at Medical City North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas, following a brief illness.
She was born on September 26, 1961, in Celina, Ohio to Rose Agnes (Neal) Howell and Floyd Thomas Howell.

She was a 1979 Graduate of Jay County High School in Portland, Indiana, and a graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She worked as a paralegal and executive assistant at various firms in the Fort Worth, Texas, area.

She is survived by her son, Justin S. Rarick of Hurst, Texas; daughter-in-law, Amber Staine of Hurst, Texas; parents, Floyd and Agnes Howell of Pennville, Indiana; brother, Keith Howell and wife, Geneveb of Portland, Indiana; brother, Steve Howell and wife, Debbie of Indianapolis, Indiana; and sister Susan Howell and husband, Andrew Shilling of Muncie, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who she adored and cherished.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 22, 2021 also at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. A memorial service will be held in Indiana at a future date to be determined.
