Jose Alfredo Marquez-Bravo, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 20.
Born on April 10, 2006, in Dallas, Jose’s life, though far too brief, remains deeply cherished by those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered with enduring love and held close in the hearts of his family.
Jose was employed by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office since 2024, where he started his career in law enforcement. His friends and family say that Jose was always cheerful and smiling, kind and welcoming, and never met a stranger. As a man of strong faith, he had a very generous and loving heart and family meant everything to him. He had a strong desire to always improve himself and was seen as the "cool guy" in the room.
He is survived by his mother, Maria Bravo, and his father, Edgar Marquez. He also leaves behind his brother, Edgar Marquez-Bravo, and his sisters, Yessenia Marquez, Alondra Marquez, and Jennifer Marquez. In addition, Jose is lovingly remembered by his cousins, Alberto Marquez and Salvador Bravo, along with family whose lives were touched by his presence.
As his family and friends mourn this loss, they also carry forward the memory of Jose Alfredo Marquez-Bravo with love, sorrow, and gratitude for the time they shared with him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
Friends and extended family are invited to a visitation at the home of his parents, Edgar Marquez and Maria Bravo, 1025 Heath Circle, Cedar Hill, Texas 75104, beginning at 6:00 pm, Thursday, October 15, 2026. A funeral Mass celebrating his life will be on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 10:00 am at Nuestra Senora del Pilar Catholic Parish, Dallas, Texas 75211.
Jose Alfredo Marquez-Bravo, de Dallas, Texas, falleció el 6 de octubre de 2026 a los 20 años de edad.
Nacido el 10 de abril de 2006 en Dallas, la vida de Jose —aunque demasiado breve— sigue siendo profundamente apreciada por quienes lo conocieron y lo amaron. Será recordado con un amor perdurable y permanecerá siempre en los corazones de su familia.
Jose trabajaba para la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Dallas desde 2024, donde inició su carrera en las fuerzas del orden.
