Jonah Anthony Casillas, 10 weeks old, passed away in the early morning hours of October 14, 2026. He was born August 4, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Brianna Garcia and Jacob Casillas.
Jonah was here for a short time, but he filled every one of those days. He had a smile that took up his whole face, mouth wide open like he was laughing at something only he could see. He loved to stare at his own little hands. He cooed back every time his parents made him smile, and he had the tiniest burps and little whines, especially when the swing was not going quite how he wanted. He stretched like a big kid every time he was unswaddled. When his mom kissed his feet he would smile, and he would drink his bottle with his legs up in the air so she could hold and rub his tiny feet. He was happy, he was easy to love, and he was loved by everyone who met him.
Jonah is survived by his mother, Brianna Garcia; his father, Jacob Anthony Casillas; his brothers, Nolan Escalante (9), Jacob Casillas (7), and Jonathan Casillas (4); his grandparents, Tina and Aaron Jones, and Roxanna Casillas; his great-grandparents, James Riffle Jr. and Carmen Casillas; his uncles and aunt, Chris Garcia and his fiancé Justin Hernandez, Andrew Garcia, Nicholas Garcia, and Liliana Garcia; Mandy and Jonny Wittenberg; Angie and Wally Etie; and many other family members and friends who loved him.
