Jon Thomas Capps, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2025, in Fort Worth. He will be remembered as a loving father, a friend, and a man who lived life with intensity and passion. Jon’s journey included facing life with resilience, determination, and strength he found through Jesus.
Born on April 24, 1978, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Wilmer and Georgene Capps, Jon grew up with a dedication to hard work and a love for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing, boating, golf, working out, cooking, and sports—both playing and watching. He worked hard, and he played hard.
Jon loved the Lord, and his faith was important to him. He highlighted verses in his Bible that spoke to his heart and provided him with strength, guidance, and hope in Christ. One of his favorites was Psalms 23.
He is survived by his beloved son, Colby Capps of North Richland Hills, and his daughter, Camryn Capps who is a scholar at the University of Oregon. His children were the greatest blessings of his life, and he loved them deeply.
