John Mark Tushim Jr., age 66, passed away on July 15, 2026.
He was born on July 8, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Oak Cliff. He was the beloved son of Mary Catherine Tushim and John Mark Tushim Sr.
John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1983. He spent more than 30 years working in customs brokerage and freight forwarding, where he built a long and respected career.
John had a lifelong love of music and sports. He enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to classic rock, and watching football and soccer. He was a longtime supporter and booster of the Euless Trinity High School football team, a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, and a passionate supporter of Arsenal FC.
John is survived by his children, Kimberly Tushim, Samuel Tushim, and Makayla Tushim; his brother, Luke Tushim, and sister-in-law, Lesley; his nephew, Christopher; his stepmother, Sharon Tushim; and his stepsisters, Kathy Hartman, Karsen Barse, and Kristie Hartman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine Tushim; his father, John Mark Tushim Sr.; and his stepbrother, Mark Hartman.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in John's memory, as it was a cause he faithfully supported and donated to for many years.
After more than a decade of health issues and complications, John is finally at peace. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and can finally be at rest.
