Her time after college was spent living in several parts of Texas. She used this as her base to travel extensively through the US, with her latest favorite vacation spot being Jackson Hole in Wyoming or to Ohio to visit her grand-nieces. She didn’t limit her travels to stateside. Her world exploration included such varied countries as Mexico, Canada, Cuba, Italy, China, and Kenya, Germany, France, and more. She influenced her niece and great-nieces love of travel.

She was a lifelong cat devotee with many Siamese cats dear to her over her lifetime. She was also known for contributing her time and resources to the local shelter.
