Jennifer Margaret Power, 87, of Argyle, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on July 12, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 9, 1939, in London, England, Jennifer met the love of her life, Harvey Power, an American soldier, at a USO dance. Their chance meeting began a lifelong journey together filled with love, family, and adventure.
Jennifer and Harvey owned and operated Devonshire Adobe, a beloved bed-and-breakfast and tea room in Albuquerque, where Jennifer was also renowned for creating beautiful wedding cakes that brought joy to countless celebrations. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a generous spirit, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Her warmth, kindness, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jennifer is survived by her daughters, Karen Rabbitt, widow of Robert Rabbitt, and Teresa Piorkowski and her husband, Ken Piorkowski; her grandchildren, Kristina Piorkowski, Ph.D., and her spouse, Kody Garcia; Kaitlyn Mora and her spouse, Ben Mora; and Christian Rabbitt and his spouse, Lauren Rabbitt; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Cerys Mora and Mateo Mora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glyndwr Mons and Kathleen Hughes; her beloved husband, Harvey Pat Power; her amazing son-in-law Robert (Bob) Rabbitt, and her dear sister and best friend, Barbara Dawson
