Jeffrey "Jeff" R. Gibbs, 64 of Bedford passed away October 18 in Bedford.
Visitation: Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst;
Funeral Service: Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., Lucas Funeral Chapel in Hurst with burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery.
Mr. Gibbs was born March 6, 1953 in Detroit, MI to Larry and Jean Gibbs. He worked as a teacher, was a World War II historian, loved to cook and fix as many things as possible.
Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his wife of 43 years Stephanie Gibbs of Bedford; daughter Rachel (Chris) Duncan of Lewisville; son Kevin (Colleen Cooke) Gibbs of Arlington; brothers Ollie Gibbs of Nicholasville, KY and Larry Gibbs of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren Lukas Duncan, Samuel Duncan, Ian Cooke and Owen Cooke and six nieces and nephews.
