Paul duToit, of Fort Worth, TX, a devoted husband, father of seven, and accomplished aerospace engineer, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025. He was 93 years old.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Mary, with whom he shared 71 beautiful years of marriage. He is also survived by their seven children; Jeanie Tinkler of Amarillo, TX, Leanne Lauren of Highlands Ranch, CO, Vicki Nutt of Longview, TX, Carolyn Logan of Parker, CO, Christina Peckham of Keller, TX, and twins Steven duToit of Coppell, TX and Tom duToit of South Bend, IN, along with 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Born and raised in Upstate New York and later moving to New Mexico, as a young man, Paul entered the National Guard Reserves and was called to duty during the Korean War. He met his wife, Mary, at a USO dance while in the service. He pursued an education in Aerospace and Radio Engineering and his engineering career spanned several decades, during which he made significant contributions to the US military’s aerospace radar systems.
Outside of his professional life, Paul was a devoted family man. He cherished spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was also known for his love of European sports cars and boats, which he enjoyed working on and refurbishing in his spare time.
Paul’s passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his love of family and loyal lifelong friendships.
