In Loving Memory of Janis (Jan) Armede Barbour 

With heavy hearts and unwavering faith in God's promises, we announce the passing of Janis (Jan) Armede Barbour, who entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 93. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, she lived a beautiful life rooted in love, faith and family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Barbour and her parents, Claude Latson and Lutine Latson . Jan was the proud and devoted Mother of two daughters, Claudia Bires and Pat Wright. Her greatest joy in life was being their Mom. The love she had for her girls was unconditional, unwavering and evident in everything she did. She was their biggest supporter, fiercest protector and constant source of strength. That same love continued to grow through every generation of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her cherished grandchildren: Melissa Cobb and husband Steven Cobb, Tiffany Madalone, Scott Jackson and wife Alyssa Jackson, Kenny Wright and John Wright and wife Morgan Wright. She was also blessed with twelve beloved great-grandchildren: Jayden, Shaun, Austin, Presley, Kobe, Tylar, Avery, Minnie, Ruby, Gianna, Johnson and Richie each of whom held a special place in her heart. Jan worked as a dedicated secretary for the Don Campbell Law Firm, where she was known for her hard work and dependability. Outside of work, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved shopping, working in her yard, crafting, decorating for every holiday, watching her favorite television programs, following politics, cheering on the TCU Horned Frogs and the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with family and friends. She has also had a special love for all of her precious fur babies, who brought her endless happiness. Those who knew Jan will remember her as sassy, loving, funny, strong and incredibly generous. She had a big heart, a quick wit, and a way of making everyone around her feel loved. She was the kind of person who would do anything for those she loved, always putting family first. Above all else, Jan loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life and carried her through every season. She lived with grace, trusted God's plan and shared his love through the way she cared for others. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior, where there is no more pain, only everlasting peace and joy. Although she will be deeply missed, her family will forever carry her love, laughter, wisdom and unwavering faith in their hearts. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, the traditions she created, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. We can only imagine the joyful reunion as she was welcomed home by those who had gone before her. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main St., Keller, TX A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM at the same location. Interment will take place afterward at 12:00 at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 7301 E. Lancaster Ave., Ft. Worth, Texas 76112
