Jeanine D Basciano from Argyle passed away on Sunday January 11th with loving family by her side.
Jeanine D. Basciano, of Argyle, passed away on Sunday, January 11th, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Jeanine was the oldest daughter of Walter J. White and Diane DiBerardini. She graduated from Fairfax High School and continued her education at Burlington County College in Pemberton, NJ, and Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, PA.
In 1986, Jeanine married the love of her life, John Basciano, in Medford, NJ. They shared a joyful and faith-filled marriage until John’s passing in 2007. Together, they were devoted followers of Christ who treasured time with family above all else.
Jeanine worked in office administration throughout her career, holding positions with Merc Pharmaceuticals, Union Carbide, and State Farm, and later serving faithfully as a church secretary.
A woman of many gifts, Jeanine loved writing poetry, hosting gatherings, playing the piano, sewing, spending time with her dogs, and participating in Bible studies. Her sewing talents were especially meaningful—she lovingly crafted many garments, including her own mother’s burial dress.
Since 2005, Jeanine was an active member of Gateway Church, where she mentored younger women and served wholeheartedly in altar ministry. In recent years, she attended Milestone Church. To her family, she was affectionately known as “Gigi.” Her contagious laugh, radiant smile, and bold sharing of the good news of Jesus were the hallmarks of her life.
Jeanine is survived by her cherished sons, Gene (Edna) and Randy (Melissa); her grandchildren Brian, Julie, Christopher (Lauren), Hannah, Michael (Lauren), and Bob (Athena); and her great‑grandchildren Evie and Belle. She is also survived by her sister Michelle, cousins Annette and Kathy, nieces Beth and Cathie, nephew Scott, and many other beloved family members.
A memorial service will be held on February 7th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Milestone Church, 1119 US‑377, Argyle, Texas 76226, in the Youth Center, with a reception to follow.
Flowers may be sent to Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. Donations may be made to her grandchildren through the charity Wisdom’s Bridgeway, or to Milestone Church, Argyle.
