James Stephen Klein, age 68 of Joshua, Texas, peacefully passed away on August 19, 2026 at home surrounded by family.
Jim was born on January 20, 1958, the son of Norbert and Theresa nee Paul Klein. He married his wife Pamela Kathleen Marshall on September 6, 1980 in Angola, Indiana. Jim and Pam moved to Texas immediately following their marriage. Jim and Pam had 45 wonderful years together. Prior to his retirement Jim had numerous interesting jobs. He worked as an aeronautical engineer. He worked for Vought Aircraft, where he helped with the design of the B2 Bomber, as well as other military aircraft. He finished his career working for Tesla, where he helped with the design of the Model Y.
Jim was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Burleson, Texas. He was a part of the St Ann Guardians. One of Jim's passions was running. In 2018 he ran his first marathon at the age 60 at the Cow Town Marathon in Fort Worth, Texas. This qualified him to run in the Boston Marathon in 2019, which was one of his dreams. Another of Jim's passion was flying. He attained a private pilot license. He enjoyed flying his grandchildren in a 2-seater Champ airplane. Jim was a very devoted father and grandfather, and they were the joy of his life.
He is survived by his wife Pam Klein. Children, August (Kelly) Klein, Meagan Klein, Seth Klein, and Joshua (Liz) Klein. Eleven grandchildren, Connor Klein, Kennedee Klein, Madison Klein, Mason Klein, Summer Henderson, Aidan Henderson, Ben Henderson, Hannah Alexander, May Alexander, Thomas Klein, and Austyn Klein. He was blessed they all live near him in the Fort Worth area.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2026 from pm at Lucas Funeral Home 518 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson, Texas 76028. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, August 24, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Ann Catholic Church 100 SW Alsbury Blvd., Burleson, TX 76028
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Jim’s memory to make a donation to St Ann Catholic Church or have a Mass in Jim's honor.
