James Wayne Cromer, 87, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Fort Worth. He was born on September 15, 1937, to James and Ruby Cromer in Carrollton, Texas. James had a deep love for the outdoors, spending much of his time hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was the time he spent with his grandchildren.
James is survived by his children, Mike Cromer and his wife Karen of Fort Worth, and Shannon Froning and her husband Greg of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Ryan Cromer of Keller, Katie Clark and her husband Brett of Carrollton, Chase Cromer of Fort Worth, and Kelsey Bernier and her husband Colin of North Richland Hills; and his great-grandson, Ty Bernier of North Richland Hills. He is also survived by his nephews, Thomas Graham and his wife Pam of Howe, Texas, and Bobby Shaffer of Kaufman, and his niece, Pat Justice and her husband Ron of Prosper.
James was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Cromer, sisters, Aleta Shaffer and Tommie Joyce Graham.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas, on June 7, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
