Ignacio Alcorta, Jr., a cherished resident of Fort Worth, Texas, and formerly of Laredo, Texas, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born in Laredo, Ignacio completed his education at Martin High School. Throughout his life, he embraced a variety of career paths, ultimately retiring from Custom Building Products after many years of service.
In retirement, Ignacio found joy in cheering for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed spending time at the casinos, indulging his passion for games of chance. A fan of classic western films and novelas, he cherished these moments of entertainment.
Ignacio leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Maria Luisa Alcorta; his children: Samuel Alcorta (Cynthia), Ricardo Alcorta (Isabel), Veronica Marquez (Lupe), Rosalinda Fuentes (Joe Jr.), Raul Alcorta, Elida Castillo (Israel), Adriana Gonzalez (Joe), Enrique Garcia (Elma), Lydia Palacios (Melo) and Anna Luisa Garcia; as well as 26 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Inez Alcorta; his sister, Ramona Lucio; and his children, Leticia Alcorta and Jose Ramon Garcia, Jr.
Ignacio’s life was marked by love, hard work, and devotion to family, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
