Ian Ross Nevling, a resident of Johnson County, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2026, in Burleson, Texas, at the age of 25.

Born on June 13, 2001, in Fort Worth, Ian grew up in the Burleson area, attending Burleson and Glen Rose High Schools. After graduating from Glen Rose High School, he pursued a career as an HVAC technician at Hill College and worked as an HVAC tech in both Johnson and Tarrant counties.

Ian was a sweet and gentle soul with a kind and loving heart. He was gifted with a fun, loving, adventurous, and light hearted spirit. Most of all he loved family more than anything in the world. He was greatly admired by his siblings as a big brother and loved by his cousins as a favorite friend. He was a member of Pathway Church in Burleson and enjoyed cooking, physical training, boxing, MMA. He was an avid Steelers fan.

Ian is survived by his son Karson Reyna; mother Whitney Menger; father Justin Nevling; brother Mason Nevling and wife Bertha, along with nieces Natalia and Sofia; brother Ty Valcik; sisters Jewel Valcik and Prim Rose Menger; uncle DJ Nevling; aunt Katrice Menger; aunt Michelle Lozier and husband Jeremiah; cousins Sydney Lozier, Emma Hardin and husband Will; cousin Gabrielle Rodriquez and husband Jason and children Dylan, Cruz, and Ellie; and grandparents Ross and Jane Menger and George and Angela Nevling.

He was preceded in death by his Uncle Luke Nevling.

Ian was loved by all and taken away too soon. He remains forever in our hearts. God bless this precious child of God.
