Heather Lei Espinoza, 38, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the unwavering faith that carried her through every season of life. Heather was born on June 3, 1987, in El Paso, TX.
Heather was a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful daughter, cherished sister, proud veteran, and deeply compassionate friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Arturo Espinoza; her beloved children: Jordan R. Davis, Skye L. Espinoza, Alexis L. Espinoza, Solara L. Espinoza, Hazel F. Espinoza, and Emma G. Espinoza. She is also survived by her siblings Jamee E. Chandler, Michael T. Vera, Robert A. Vera, Scott Hankins, and Shae Hankins; and by her parents Peter and Darolynn Lopez, and Scott and Dena Hankins.
Heather proudly served in the United States Army as Military Police from 2007 to 2012. She was a proud patriot whose honorable service earned her multiple military commendations and a lifelong respect for her country and fellow soldiers.
After moving to the Dallas–Fort Worth area in 2019, Heather dedicated herself fully to being a stay-at-home mother and caring for her family, which became the most important and meaningful role of her life. Her husband and children were the center of her world and the source of her strength through every hardship.
Heather also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Purdue University Global. She had a passion for reading fantasy and crime novels. She also had a deep love for animals, especially dogs.
Heather loved intentionally and wholeheartedly, offering compassion, honesty, and kindness to everyone she met. She never judged or condemned others and was a true and genuine friend to all.
Heather’s greatest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “Miracle Monday” became a defining moment in her faith journey — the day she realized she was a truly loved Child of God. From that day forward, she placed her faith and trust completely in Him. Even during her hardest moments, Heather found peace knowing God was beside her, strengthening and comforting her.
In her final season of life, Heather began creating Bible gift sets alongside her children and placing them at the cancer center in hopes that others would find the same peace, faith, and love in Christ that carried her through her own journey. Through her testimony, compassion, and unwavering faith, Heather helped lead many people to the Christian faith.
Heather’s legacy is one of love, courage, service, faith, and devotion to family. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
