We celebrate and honor the life of Halle Grace Victoria Hinshaw, who was called to Jesus on March 26, 2026, at the age of 23. For much of her life, Halle Grace carried a heavy load of mental and physical challenges, and in the end, her body just couldn’t keep going. She passed peacefully in her sleep.
Halle Grace loved her family deeply. She is survived by her best friends and parents, Scott and Julie Hinshaw, her brothers, Grant and Garrett, and her sister-in-law Chloe. She also leaves behind her grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her close community included her cousin Zoey and friends from high school, college, and her gym. She joins her beloved Papa, Grandad, Dee, her sister Madeline, and cousin Kalee in heaven.
Halle Grace was born on September 11, 2002, in Donetsk, Ukraine, as Victoria. Victoria, known as Vika, spent much of her early years in an orphanage. There she waited patiently for her parents to come for her.
Meanwhile, in Texas, 4-year-old Garrett shared with his parents that God told him to pray for a baby who is far away. Julie and Scott felt called to begin the long and difficult path of adoption that ultimately led to Vika. On March 25, 2008, she became Halle Grace Victoria Hinshaw.
Halle Grace loved nothing better than serving others. She helped teach and care for children with special needs at her church and frequently served at Victory Therapy Center. Halle Grace was always one to think of others with intentional acts of service and generosity.
In her free time, Halle loved baking, mostly for other people. She loved watching crime shows, drawing, painting, and building Legos. She loved spending time with dogs, especially her beloved Penny and Nickel.
Halle Grace also had a passion for working out. She spent countless hours striving to “get jacked” – and she succeeded. But more importantly, her gym friends became a community where she invested heavily in helping others pursue their own transformations.
Her greatest passion was caring for others through acts of hospitality. After graduating from Abilene Christian University in May 2025, Halle Grace began her hospitality career with Omni Hotels. She loved getting to know her guests, creating special moments, and frequently prayed over them. Her future there was bright as she was selected for a leadership development program after only 7 months on the job.
Halle Grace also loved adventure. She rode elephants in Thailand, hiked the Na Pali Coast, safaried in Africa, skied black diamond runs in Jackson Hole, and admired a sunset every chance she got. Now her greatest adventure begins – the adventure of entering the gates of Heaven.
A celebration of Halle Grace’s life will be held at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills on March 31, 2026, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Remade at www.remadekenya.org in Halle Grace's honor.
