Lamar Milner, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away surrounded by his family. Tuesday November 11th, 2025 He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Clara Milner. His children Kevin Milner and wife Brenda Milner, Kyle Milner, and Keely Harris were the pride of his life and the heart of his world.
Lamar adored his grandchildren Matt Milner, Andrew Milner, Anthony Harris and wife Cheyenne, and Tori Hitt and husband Jordan Hitt. He was also a very proud great grandfather to Rylee Milner, Scarlet Milner, Braden Milner, and Emerson Harris. His love for his growing family was endless and he lit up every time he spoke about them.
He is also survived by his sister Marilyn Ratcliff and husband Milford, as well as his nieces Amanda and husband Ryan, and Lea Ann Ratcliff and partner Rhonda. He was preceded in death by his parents J W and Mell Milner, mother and father inlaw Henry & Melba Godwin.
Lamar lived a life built on faith and integrity. He was a loyal member of the First United Methodist Church since 1967 and found great purpose and fellowship within his church family. Although we are saddend of his passing we rejoice knowing he is walking with the Lord and has been reunited with his parents.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, steady faith, and the deep love he held for his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy and his proudest legacy.
