Geraldine Gonzales

April 19, 1938 — June 4, 2026

Burleson

Geraldine (Jeri) Gonzales left us for Heaven on June 4, 2026 in Burleson, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1938 to Carl and Minnie Hubbard in Knox City, Texas.

Jeri's life was a great adventure and she enjoyed it! She met Eloy Gonzales in Amarillo, Texas and married him in 1981. They made their life together in Clayton, New Mexico, where Eloy was well known in the four state area as leader of the band, Eloy and the Troubadours. When Eloy passed away in 2020 she moved back to Texas to be near her daughter. Jeri had a beautiful smile that attracted people and caused her to be successful in the various jobs she held working for the public. She loved to get dressed up, go to work, and talk to people! She was a member of the Cowboy Church in Clayton for many years.

Jeri was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy, her parents, her brothers, Kenneth and James and her sister Lora Svitak. She leaves a daughter Marilyn McCrory (Keith), as well as Eloy's daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Knudson. Also, three grandsons, Eric (Wendy) McCrory, Nicholas McCrory, and Matthew McCrory. Her four great grandchildren are Hannah (Tyler) Thompson, Eric McCrory Jr., Ethan McCrory, and Anne-Marie McCrory.

A memorial service is planned at the First Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas on Thursday, June 25, at 2:00 PM. The family will carry her ashes to Clayton, New Mexico, to be interred next to Eloy.

A special thank you to St. Agnes Miracle House who went above and beyond to give Jeri the very best care.
