Gerald Patterson Pruitt, aged 81, passed away suddenly on December 25, 2023 at Stone Creek Senior Living. He was born on April 19, 1942 in Hillsboro, TX to Gerald William Pruitt and Myrtle Katherine Patterson.
Pat lived a life filled with love, purpose, and kindness. He was a devoted husband for 60 years to his wife Kathy Estes Pruitt, and a devoted father to his sons Matt and Drew Pruitt.
An educator and coach, Pat dedicated himself to excellence in his work. His passions for gardening, fly fishing, dancing, and playing the piano were infectious, and he approached every endeavor with optimism and joy.
Pat was a pillar of the Birdville Independent School District, known for his passion to coach and inspire his players to achieve something greater than themselves. He volunteered his time with youth coaching, making a positive impact on the lives of the players on his teams.
Pat is survived by his loving wife Kathy Pruitt, his oldest son Matt, and his wife Camile, and their two
precious sons Jackson and Tyler, his youngest son Drew, and his wife Samantha, and their adoring
daughters Adrianna and Talia.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at the Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, TX on December 30, 2023 at 11:00 am.
Pat will be deeply missed but will live on in our hearts and memories.
