Francis “Frank” Xavier Hill, 77, of Hurst, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 26, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Frank and Kathleen Hill, Frank was raised in Hialeah, Florida, and graduated from Hialeah High School in 1965. That same year, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany, where he met his beloved wife, Christa.
After returning to the United States, Frank began his career in law enforcement, serving with the Florida Highway Patrol, the Broward Sheriff’s Office, and later retiring from the Palm Beach County School Police Department in 2003. Following his retirement, Frank and Christa moved to Fort Worth, Texas, to be closer to their grandchildren. He continued to serve his community by working security at the Bank of America building in downtown Fort Worth until 2020.
Frank was deeply devoted to his faith and served his church community by teaching Sunday School, supporting missionaries, and always being ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He is survived by his beloved wife Christa; children Marc Hill (Karin), Nikki Fannin (Jay), and Kevin Hill (Angie); and grandchildren Amanda Hill, Chandler Hill, Christa Fannin, Spencer Hill, Catie Fannin, and Toby Fannin. He is also survived by his brothers Harry (Rebecca), Tommy (Kim), Steve (Brenda), George, and Eric (Joyce), along with many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Kathleen Hill; siblings Robert Hill and Kathleen “Sis” Hill; and nephew Aaron Hill.
A viewing will be held on May 23rd from 9:30–11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at Shady Oaks Baptist Church, 1336 Cavender Drive, Hurst, TX 76053. Interment will take place on Saturday, May 24th at 9:30 a.m. at the Dallas–Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Frank will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his generosity, his humor, and his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in all who knew and loved him.
