Burleson

Frances Marie Peterman, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was filled with faith, family, and the simple joys of home, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born on November 6, 1943, in Brownwood, Texas, to Carl and Josephine Form, Frances grew up in Samson Park, Texas before making her home in Burleson, Texas, where she built a warm and welcoming haven that was the heart of her family.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Frances was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Burleson.

Frances was full of life and spirit, with a lively personality that lit up every room. She was renowned for her extraordinary home cooking that brought everyone to the table, her green thumb in the garden, and her love of fishing, especially those family trips to Galveston. She had a special passion for showing basset hounds and cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Her faithful companion, basset hound Hank, was never far from her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Carl Form; sister, Mary McGill and many beloved basset hounds who brought her years of joy.

Frances is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Carrol Peterman; her children, Calvin Peterman (Janet), James Peterman(Michelle), Carolyn Henderson (Shawn), and Carl Peterman (Melissa Banner); her sisters, Carlene Gerlich and JoAnn Form; her grandchildren, Chelsea Diamond (Dylan), Shawna Garcia (Justin), Austin Lee (Tatom), Jake Peterman (Madeline), Cody Henderson (Kayla Brannon), and Anna Y’Barbo (Cash); her great-grandson, Harley Garcia; and her loyal basset hound, Hank. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews & friends.

Frances lived a life rooted in love, love for her Lord, her family, her garden, the water, and her bassets. Her legacy of warmth, faith, togetherness, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
