Filiberto "Macho" Torres Jr.

Filiberto “Macho” Torres, Jr., our cherished “Papi” and “Lelo,” passed away on February 15, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 62. Born on October 28, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, he relocated to his beloved Island of Enchantment, Puerto Rico, in 1971 at the age of nine. Macho later lived in California and Florida before making Texas his home in 1986. He was a dedicated employee at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, where he took immense pride in serving with compassion and excellence. Beyond his professional life, Macho was a passionate lover of music and cooking, often sharing his culinary delights with family and friends; his infectious sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. He truly embodied a servant's heart, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity. Preceded in death by his father, Felix Berto Torres; mother, Nelly Arce; and sister, Lettie Torres, Macho is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Hernandez, and husband Rojelio; son, Efrain Torres, and wife Naomi; daughter, Mitzy Myall, and husband Chad; and grandchildren, Jazlyn Hernandez, Angello Torres, Mason Myall, and Macey Myall. He is also lovingly remembered by his bonus daughter, Linnie Reyes-Williams; sisters, Francis De La Fe and Rose “Lilly” Izquierdo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has supported us during this difficult time. Your kindness and love mean the world to us as we celebrate Macho's life. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., with funeral services on Friday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas. A burial service will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas, where he will be laid to rest surrounded by love.
