Estelle Rogers Caldwell

November 18, 1953 — December 14, 2025

Hurst

Estelle Rogers Caldwell, went home to be with her Lord on December 14, 2025.

She graduated from elementary school in Germany. She also attended school in Columbus, Georgia. She graduated from a Mother Mary Mission Catholic grade school. She was elected prom Queen of her high school to which her father made her prom dress out of bed sheets. She lived in several different places before she resided in Germany as her father was in the military. Estelle worked as a reservation operator for 10 years in California before becoming a computer software tech operator for American Airlines. Growing up, Estelle loved dancing, and playing music along with going to Aruba, Las Vegas, and going on a cruise, going to the movies with her crazy husband Stan. Estelle's favorite song was, Let's get it on by Marvin Gaye and a favorite sitcom was Chicago PD and FBI. We've been married 51 years. What attracted me to her in 1971 was on the CTA train as a conductor with her smile and her beautiful look. What humorous story about Estelle that always brought a smile to my face is when we go out dancing together. For mom, her most memorable memories of Estelle is when she saw her playing with the German kids. My most recent memories about Estelle were to see her playing the quick hit slots in Vegas with a smile on her face. What 3 things I loved Estelle is her wonderful cooking, she's very intelligent and also the love she had for other people. Her mother loves her cooking and the fact that Estelle made sure her mom ate 3 meals a day.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Caldwell, son Jason Caldwell, sister Lanice Strother, and her mother Amanda Roger. She was blessed with two grandchildren: grandson, Jalen, granddaughter, Aaliyah and stepdaughter, Alicia. Estelle graduated from Zweibruecken American High School in Germany.
