Emily Nell Nixon, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Arlington. A reception will follow the service in the parrish hall.
Memorials: Emily received two kidney transplants during her life, and the family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Texas Kidney Foundation at www.txkidney.org or by calling 210-739-9778.
Emily was born Sept. 24, 1936, in Bartlesville, Okla., to Virginia and Malcolm Reeves "Red" Romine. She loved to be with people and was blessed with many friends who remained close and supportive throughout her life. Her friends and family were her joy.
Survivors: Her daughter, April Nixon and April's spouse, Jim Blagg; son, James Nixon and his wife, Jonna; grandson, Parker; sister, Jody Romine; and brother, Malcolm "Buzzy" Romine and his wife, Diana.
