Eldonna Sue Norris Martin, born May 21, 1943, passed away at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the age of 82. She had been on Home Hospice since February 24, 2026, after having had several hospital and rehabilitation admissions, and Home Health services since May 6, 2025. Her parents were James Eldon Norris and Emma Oletha Burnett Norris.
Eldonna was a master artist - oil paintings, watercolor, acrylics, painting on glass, and pencil and ink sketching. She also was a great seamstress, beautician, and loved working with all kinds of crafts. She loved crocheting, embroidery, and needlepoint.
She loved the mountains. Her family spent many wonderful vacations in Colorado and New Mexico, and various campgrounds all across the United States. She loved camping, from sleeping out under the stars, tenting, and later in an RV, in which we took several trips across the U.S. pulling our 5th-wheel camper trailer.
She loved music, singing in our church choirs, and being involved with her Life Group (Sunday School), up until her health issues prevented her from being actively involved.
She will be missed as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousins.
She loved all her family members and church friends. She was highly thought of by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Wayne Martin of Burleson, and a son, Kevin Bruce Martin (Beatriz Gregory), of Arlington, 7 grandchildren; Trace Ryan Martin, Marine veteran, of Hudson Oaks, TX, Ashley Thomson of Burleson, and Jacob Tyler Martin, a Marine, stationed in Missouri, Sophia Ann and Natalie Maria Gregory, Misty Dawn Martinez of Keller, and David Martin of Fort Worth, along with 7 great-grandchildren, many beloved nephews, nieces, and cousins, and numerous friends.
She is also survived by a brother, Ronald Stephen Norris and wife, Bonnie, from Benbrook, TX, and a sister, Sharon Lynn Norris Boenisch, of Aledo, TX.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Burleson, TX, Saturday, March 28, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and funeral service at 11:00 AM, Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on University Drive in Fort Worth, TX.
