Edwin Bingham Barham, Jr.

Edwin (Ed) Bingham Barham Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 93. He was born on December 10, 1931, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he lived leaving behind a legacy of love for generations to come.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters, Ann Pugh and Jane Pinkston, who were integral parts of his early life and whose memories he cherished deeply.

On May 23, 1964, Ed married the love of his life, Dian Kellar. Together, they built a life filled with unwavering support for one another. Ed took great pride in his family and is survived by his devoted wife, Dian Barham, their daughter Diana Thompson and husband Eric. As well as his beloved grandchildren: Hayden (David) Evans and Ryan (Kat) Thompson. Ed was also a proud great-grandfather to Tate Evans and Hayes Thompson. He held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews who he cherished.

Ed's educational journey began in Fort Worth ISD and after graduating from Paschal High school, Ed then attended Texas Christian University culminating in a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from Texas Wesleyan College. His passion for helping others through his career enriched the lives of many.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, his commitment to service extended beyond his military career, encompassing roles at the Texas Employment Commission, Birdville ISD, Bell Helicopter, and Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base where he left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the people he served. He was an active member of the Veterans group at Black Rifle Coffee, where he found camaraderie and friendship among fellow veterans.

Ed was known for his boundless love for his friends and family, always ready with a listening ear and a kind word. Ed's legacy will continue in the lives of those he touched, reminding us all of the importance of love, kindness, and community.

Visitation will take place on May 28th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lucus Funeral Home in Keller Texas. A graveside service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas on May 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM, where family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Ed's remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization close to Ed's heart that supports veterans and their families.

Ed Barham Jr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. As we remember his life, let us carry forward his legacy of love and kindness, ensuring that his impact resonates for generations to come.
