Duane Gansen, beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 24, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on May 26, 1961, Duane filled his life with love, laughter, and a deep dedication to his family. For over 20 years, Duane lived as a stroke survivor, demonstrating remarkable strength, resilience, and perseverance that inspired all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Susie, and their children: Catherine (Junior) Camacho, Nick Gansen, Claire (Merisa) Rodriguez and Andrew (Tiffani) Gansen. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren who adored their Grandpa Duane.
Duane attended trade school in the 1980s, laying the foundation for a long and meaningful career at Honda, where his strong work ethic and commitment were evident throughout the years. Known for his warm sense of humor, he found joy in coaching and watching sports and fixing just about anything around the house. His steady hands, kind heart, and easy laugh will be remembered by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Services to celebrate Duane’s life will be held on May 14th from 6:00–8:00 PM for a viewing at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas. A Mass service will take place on May 15th at 10:00 AM at St. Michael’s in Bedford, Texas, followed by a reception. A burial service will follow at 12:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville, Texas.
