Douglas Dollar

Douglas Ray Dollar, 77, of Lakeside, Texas, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2026, in Fort Worth. He was born on February 23, 1949, to Marlin and Audrey Dollar in Fort Worth. Doug was the owner of Paramount Real Estate and did business primarily in Tarrant County. He was a faithful Christian and attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with his wife. Doug was a kind, generous man who quietly gave to those in need and who said that a man was only as good as his word.

Doug was also a man of singular wit, and he will be remembered by those who knew him for his jovial spirit and unique brand of humor. A master of the Texas vernacular, his personality was larger than life, and he was known for giving a nickname to almost everyone he knew.

Douglas Ray Dollar is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shelly Mason Dollar of Lakeside, son Heath Dollar and wife Martina Milerova of Fort Worth, son Jason Dollar and husband Kevin Jones of Richardson, stepson William Alldaffer of Fort Worth, granddaughters Savannah, Emma, Abby, and Olivia Alldaffer, sister Beverly and husband Robert Roderick, as well as a host of friends and relatives.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Audrey Dollar.
