Donald Ray Montgomery

Donald Ray Montgomery, a resident of Burleson, Texas, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born in Crowley, Texas, on July 30, 1937, Donald was raised in Burleson, where he built a life filled with warmth and camaraderie. He dedicated over 25 years of his career to Texas Steel in Fort Worth, contributing significantly to the community and gaining the respect of his colleagues.

An avid outdoorsman, Donald enjoyed fishing, walking, and exercising. He found joy in yard work, taking pride in washing his cars, and spending quality time with friends and family. His passion for riding motorcycles further underscored his adventurous spirit.

Known for his friendly and genuine nature, Donald had a remarkable ability to connect with people. He never met a stranger, and his warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Donald was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith, which guided his principles and values throughout his life.

He will be deeply missed by his family and community.

He is survived by his twin sister, Donnie Dodd of Arlington, TX; and his children Ronnie Montgomery and spouse Lhen, Ricky Montgomery and his spouse Mary. 

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Rudell Montgomery.
