Mr. Donald C. Akins, 79 of North Richland Hills passed away August 2 in North Richland Hills.
He was born August 15, 1937 in Fort Worth to Lowell and Pauline Akins.
Mr. Akins served in the Coast Guard for four years before his 30 plus years working for Bell Helicopter. He enjoyed reading, cars, guns and country music. He was known for his hospitality and easygoing personality.
Mr. Akins was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Glenda Akins; his daughter who he adored Donna Akins; sister Jane Haas and many other relatives and friends.
