Dennis Alan Roemmich

Dennis Alan Roemmich, aged 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, at home in Trophy Club, Texas. He was born on August 8,1951, in San Diego, California, to Art and Ella Lois Roemmich. He grew up a surfer in San Diego and was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. He went on to graduate from San Diego State University with a degree in accounting.

Dennis spent his entire working career at BP, starting in the San Francisco office and eventually around the world, living in Alaska, Ohio, Texas, Australia and Canada as a senior executive before his retirement in 2003. Many of his closest friends came from BP, who became like family as his career didn't provide opportunities for Dennis to live near his parents or brother, Duane.

He married Ruth Germany on September 29, 2007, in a Las Vegas elopement. Dennis and Ruth loved being doggie parents to Riley, Sparkie and Maui and grandparents to their granddaughters Sarina, Allison and Taylor. Dennis was an avid golfer and loved to read and cook. He was a devoted friend and will be missed greatly.

Dennis is survived by his wife Ruth, his daughters Lindsay Martz and Renae Roemmich, his stepson Michael Germany, son-in-law Kevin Martz, and granddaughters Sarina Germany, Allison Martz, Taylor Martz and many extended family members.

Dennis hated funerals but friends and family are invited to attend his celebration of life from 4-6pm on Friday November 8 at the Trophy Club Country Club to reminisce and honor his life and impact on those around him.
