Debra Gail Allen

Dec 20, 1963 — Aug 24, 2026

Debra Gail Allen, 62, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026.

Debra dedicated so much of her life to helping others. Her quiet and courageous acts of kindness left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived her life with open hands and an open heart, always nurturing and caring for those who needed warmth and compassion the most. To be a giver is to possess a rare kind of strength to see the beauty in the world around you and have the desire to lift others up. That was Debra.

Debra was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on December 20, 1963, and moved to Fort Worth, Texas, in 1986. She dedicated 40 years of her life to White Settlement Nursing Center, where many of her coworkers became lifelong friends. Her compassion for others extended far beyond her work, and caring for people was a true reflection of who she was.

Debra raised her two sons in Fort Worth and, years later, welcomed the joy of becoming a grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and was incredibly proud of them. Her home was always filled with memories of the people she loved most, reflecting the importance her family held in her heart.

Debra will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength, and unwavering love for others. She had a special way of making people feel cared for and valued, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the lives she touched.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Seamster, Sr.; her brothers, Albert Ray Brooks and Herbert Hill.

Debra is survived by her two sons, Dereck Wayne Allen and Malcolm Jamal Allen; her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Ann Allen; her grandson, Bradley Wayne Allen; her mother, Vertie Lee Seamster; her brothers, Larry Wayne Hill, Willie Ray Allen, Willis Lewis Hill, Ricky Lee Hill, and Floyd Seamster, Jr.; and her sisters, Donna Marie Seamster and Rosalyn Renee Allen. She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family, friends, coworkers, and all those whose lives she touched throughout her years.

A Verse to Remember Her By

1 Corinthians 16:14

“Let all that you do be done in love.”

These words beautifully reflect the way Debra lived her life. She gave love freely, cared deeply, and sought to make the lives of others a little brighter.
