Deborah Lynn Walters, age 56 of Fort Worth Texas passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis with her mother and stepfather by her side.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but grew up in the Monroe/West Monroe Louisiana area and graduated from Claiborne Christian High School in 1986 in West Monroe, Louisiana.
She worked at Bancroft bag in West Monroe for about 8 years until she became ill. In 2004 she moved to Ft Worth, Texas to be near her mom and stepdad.
Deborah Lynn Walters is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Earl and Annie Nugent, her paternal grandmother Lou Annie Walters and her uncle Jerry Glenn Nugent and a loving cousin Eric Nugent.
Debbie is survived by her parents, Linda and Glen Hamilton and Dr. Charles Lee and Mrs. Meta Walters, her half-sister Marlise Allen and her children Annie and Preston. Also, surviving Debbie are her loving step-siblings, Todd & Carla Hamilton and Leisha & Clifton Shelton. In addition are her dear step-nieces & nephews Lauren Shelton, Jonathan Shelton, Joscelyn & Gilmore Aarestad, and Jaxson Hamilton. These family members are joined by extended family who also loved Debbie dearly. She is also survived by numerous first cousins that she dearly loved.
Debbie was an awesome pianist and would play many hours filling our home with beautiful classical music as well as favorite love songs. She loved all types of music and movies and was fascinated with all the beauty of nature. She especially loved all animals and always had a pet of some kind. She was adventurous, loved reading, laughter and running track in school.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be February 13, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main, Keller TX 76248. There will also be a visitation same day between noon and up until time for the service at 2:00.
The services will be officiated by Pastor Chad Overton and Pastor Chris Smith followed by a brief graveside service at the Westlake Cemetery, 3101 J T Ottinger Rd, WestlakeTX 76272
