Deborah Brown-Terrian

Dr. Deborah “Debbie” D. Brown-Terrian, age 73, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 24, 2026, at her family home in Northfield, Minnesota, from complications of cancer.

Debbie was born on April 18, 1952, to Iva and Dr. Dale Dodson in Trenton, Michigan. She grew up in Northfield, Minnesota, alongside her parents and siblings; Greg, Linda, and Judy. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1970 and later earned her undergraduate degree from Centenary College of Louisiana. She spent time working as an ultrasound technician before pursuing medicine and graduating from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.

Debbie enjoyed many years in private practice as a family physician and also served patients through her work with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

On April 9, 1993, Debbie married Dr. Robert “Bob” Joseph Terrian in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared many meaningful years together before he passed in 2022. They especially cherished their escapes to the Mexican Riviera and time spent at the Dodson family cabin along the North Shore of Lake Superior.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Leigh Grantland (Jay); her stepchildren, Robert “Bobby” J. Terrian II (Carla) and Veronika “Ronnie” Nicole Martin (Jay); and her beloved grandchildren, Camryn, Courtney, Carlos, Alexander, Isabella, Layla, and Zoë. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Dodson (Bill Dugan) and Judy Dodson (David Berridge), and her sister-in-law, Sharon Dodson (Greg).

Debbie is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Terrian; her parents, Iva and Dale Dodson; and her brother, Greg Dodson.

Debbie’s family will hold a come-and-go visitation on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas. All are welcome to share their love and memories of Debbie.
