Debra Gail “Debbie” Cook, 69, of Burleson, Texas, passed away on October 1, 2026, in Burleson. Debbie was born on July 17, 1957, in Arlington, Texas, to Denton and Laverne McConathy. She made her home in Burleson, where family was always at the center of her life.

 Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. More than anything, she wanted to be a good mother and grandmother, and she fulfilled that calling with unwavering love, support, and care. Her family meant everything to her, and there was nothing she would not do for the people she loved. She especially cherished watching her son, Kelly David, and her grandson, Matthew David, play sports. Whether she was cheering from the stands or following along from home, Debbie was proudly known as their loudest and most enthusiastic fan. She also enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys football and never missed an opportunity to support her family’s teams and celebrate their accomplishments.In her younger years, Debbie loved riding horses and watching rodeos. She also loved U.S. history and was an avid reader. Those who knew and loved her will remember her devotion to her family, her spirited enthusiasm at sporting events, and the love and warmth she brought into their lives.

 Debbie is survived by her husband, Bob Cook, of Burleson, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly David and Jessica David, of Cleburne, Texas; and her grandson, Matthew David, of Cleburne, Texas.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Denton and Laverne McConathy.
