On March 29, 2026, Mrs. Daythel S. Hill passed away peacefully at her home in Hurst, Texas. She was 96 years old. Her husband Clarence E. Hill died in 2002.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hill was predeceased by her parents Sam and Bessie (Harris) Taylor; her brothers Herbert, Stanley, and Wayne Taylor; and grandchildren Andy and Phillip Moore.
Mrs. Hill was born Daythel Syble Taylor on June 23, 1929, in Burlison, Tennessee. She worked for Sears in Memphis before marrying near the end of World War II. She and her husband lived in New Mexico and Arkansas before settling in Texas, where they raised five children. Mrs. Hill took care of the home while her husband worked for more than 40 years at Convair, General Dynamics, and Lockheed Martin. Besides raising the children, Mrs. Hill enjoyed sewing, embroidering, gardening, reading, and taking in numerous cats and dogs through the years.
Survivors include daughters Linda Nolan (husband Art), Cheryl Dean (partner Larry Beckham), Debbie Livingston (husband Sam), and Delores Moore; son Eddie Hill; grandchildren Rick Curren, Will Dean, Sammy Livingston, and Danny Livingston; and great-grandchildren Ryan Curren, Sarah Curren, Mia Livingston, and Alexis Livingston. One brother survives: Jerry Taylor of Munford, Tennessee.
Mrs. Hill will be laid to rest beside her husband at DFW National Cemetery. No other service is planned. The family suggests honoring her memory with contributions to your local animal shelters.
